Update Your School Profile

What is a School Profile?
A School Profile is an organized overview of school information. Parents and community members visit the page to learn more about your school, so it’s important to keep the information as up-to-date and accurate as possible. The School Profiles are public facing.
Principals, Website Administrators, Technology Coordinators, and ODA Designees have the ability to update key fields of their School Profile on CPS.edu.
A School Profile is an organized overview of school information. Parents and community members visit the page to learn more about your school, so it’s important to keep the information as up-to-date and accurate as possible. The School Profiles are public facing.
Principals, Website Administrators, Technology Coordinators, and ODA Designees have the ability to update key fields of their School Profile on CPS.edu.
Edit Your School Profile:
- Log into the Online Data Acquisition (ODA) at oda.cps.edu using your CPS username and password.
- Click on the “CPS.edu School Profile Update” icon.
- Make your updates within the tabs (School Information, Overview, and Programs and Clubs.
- After the necessary updates have been made, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the screen to commit the changes and log out of ODA to exit application.
- Please allow 24-48 hours for the updates to be reflected on your School Profile on CPS.edu.
Below is a list of items on the School Profile that can be updated by the assigned ODA designees:
- Website Address
- Up to 6 contacts and their title (Ex: John Doe, Assistant Principal Jane Doe, Admissions Coordinator)
- Social Media URLs: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest
- School Hours: (ex. 09:00 AM - 03:45 PM; AM Session: 7:00 AM - 11:30 AM / PM Session: 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM)
- Earliest Drop Off Time: (ex. 08:00 AM)
- After School Hours: (ex. 03:00 PM - 07:30 PM)
- HS Freshman Hours (option is only available for High Schools)
- CTA Bus Route Number
- CTA Train Line
- Metra Line
- School Summary
- Classroom Languages
- Bilingual Services
- Dress Code
- Attendance Boundaries
- ADA Accessible
- Refugee Services
- Title 1 Eligible
- Programs and Clubs
- Options Schools ONLY: (Staff Contacts for Admission)
For all other School Profile content updates, please see the contact information below of who you need to reach out to for assistance:
- The school's Address, Phone, and Fax cannot be updated in ODA. To request an update for any of these values please send an email to: DataGovernance@cps.edu.
- To update the Principal/Director name or title contact the Talent office at 773-553-HR4U.
- Changes to any information displayed in the Reports tab need to be made through the Office of Accountability. To request an update, send an email to: sqrp@cps.edu. Make the subject line of your email "CPS.EDU Progress Report change request". Be sure to include your school name in the email.
- Changes to any information displayed in the Admissions tab need to be made through the Office of Access and Enrollment (OAE). To request an update, send an email to: oae@cps.edu. Make the subject line of your email "CPS.EDU Program/Admissions change request". Be sure to include your school name in the email.
- School short and long names are now standardized and will remain as seen unless altered through a Board of Education vote. For more information on School short and long names, please email DataGovernance@cps.edu.
- For questions regarding the School Profile pages or the School Directory, please email DataGovernance@cps.edu. If you have a question relating to your school’s website, please email SchoolWebsites@cps.edu.

The School Directory is detailed information about each CPS school. The directory is for internal use only, and you must be signed on the CPS network to view it at schools.cps.edu.

- Website address
- School Hours: (ex. 09:00 AM - 03:45 PM)
